Satin Green Forester

Page history last edited by Beth 4 yrs ago

The Satin Green Forester lives in Victoria, Queensland, NSW, and Tasmania. The caterpillars come out at late winter and spring. The adult's butterfly's wingspan is between 20-30 mm with fringed hairs on the end of its wings and the caterpillar is between 10-15mm. They both eat the Hibbertia flowers. We found our Satin Green Forester at the Anglesea Re-Creation Camp on the 31st of October 2005 as we were walking down the long driveway, looking at all of the plants and bugs. We also saw the Hibbertia flowers. We caught it in a bug viewer that our teacher Mr. Pearce had bought with him.
